Take the A720 and follow the signs to the Forth Road
Bridge.
Join
the M90 that takes you to the City of Perth - the ancient
Capital of Scotland.
Visit
Scone Palace and the Caithness Glass Factory.
On
up the A9, through the Pass of Killiecrankie to Blair
Atholl and visit Blair Castle, home of the Duke of Atholl-
the only person in Britain to have his own private army
Rejoin the A9 (South) to Pitlochry where you can visit
Scotland's smallest distillery Edradour founded in 1837
and perhaps have a wee dram of whisky.
From
Pitlochry come back down the A9 to Ballinluig. Join
the A827 to Aberfeldy - view the Falls of Moness and
Weem Castle.

at the sign for Fortingall. Visit the 3000 year old
Yew tree in the church yard.
Back
towards Fearnan turn Right at the sign for Glen Lyon.
This is reputedly the longest, loveliest, loneliest
glen in Scotland.
At
Bridge of Balgie you can either go straight on for another
15 miles to the dam at the end of the glen - it's well
worth the effort - or you can turn Left and take the
mountain road along the side of Ben Lawers (1214 m).
Visit the Ben Lawers Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre.
Rejoin
the A827 and turn Right to Killin at the end of Loch
Tay. View the Falls of Dochart.
Through
Killin, join the A84 to Lochearnhead.
Turn
Left on to the A85 along the side of Loch Earn to St
Fillans, Comrie and Creiff. Visit Drummond Castle and
Gardens.
From
Creiff travel through the Keillor Forest and back to
Perth.

the M90, back across the Forth Road Bridge and back
to Midlothian
